About the Artwork

This vibrant and richly colored stained glass window incorporates a technique that layered colors, producing shadows and creating a multidimensional quality. Most noticeable in the lush landscape depicted in the central pane, this technique was used to great effect by Louis Comfort Tiffany and his workshop, thereby popularizing and establishing the technique as a hallmark of the artist's style.
